A leading manufacturing business is currently on the lookout for an experienced engineer to take on a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of production machinery. Responsibilities of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to ensure production machinery runs smoothly.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults and breakdowns.
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Working collaboratively with the engineering and production teams to maintain operational efficiency.
Successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be:
- You’re a time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer, ideally with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline.
- You have hands-on experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- You’re confident in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a range of production equipment.
- You work well in a team and can effectively communicate with colleagues.
- You have a proactive attitude and are always looking for ways to improve processes and performance
