We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Primary Teacher in an Independent School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, offering both day and residential placements. The school's alternative education programme is designed to provide pupils with the specialised support they need, going beyond what mainstream schools can offer. The successful candidate will:
- Plan, teach, and assess a range of subjects and learning to support students' progression
- Work as part of the team to deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and to make students feel safe so that they can learn and achieve
- Follow whole school systems to teaching and learning. We will support you with a full induction, we are a very supportive team
- Support with report writing, help to expand our curriculum documents as part of a team, data collection, and clearly communicate with all stakeholders
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
- At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
- QTS/QTLS
