Room Leader

We are seeking a strong, motivated, and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our well-established nursery in central Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident early year's professional to lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.

About the Role:

As a Room Leader, you will:- Lead and inspire a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality learning experiences.- Ensure all planning, observations, and assessments align with the EYFS and promote child development.- Create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.- Support staff with their professional development, mentoring them to achieve their full potential.- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and welfare in line with Ofsted and statutory requirements.

-Work closely with parents and carers, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.- Drive best practices and continuously improve the quality of education and care in the room.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 3 or above in Early Years Education & Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations
  • Experience in a Room Leader/Senior Nursery Practitioner role
  • Ability to motivate, support, and leada team to deliver high-quality carePassion for child development and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills-
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to drive improvements in practice
