Job description:Â A law firm in the Wakefield area is looking for a highly motivated Family Locum to join their growing family department, for an initial period of 9 months with the likelihood of extension.
The successful candidate will be available to attend the office on a hybrid basis, whilst candidates with either full or part-time availability will be considered.
The successful candidate will be:
- Managing a complex caseload, dealing with anything from fixed-fee divorces to financial disputes
- Providing legal advice to clients over the phone, via written communication channels, and face to face meetings
- Taking ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation to get the best results for your clients
- Advising the team on complex legal queries, acting as the subject matter specialist in family law
Required skills
- Qualified as a solicitor / CILEX qualified, with significant post-qualification experience
- A proven background in family law, with excellent legal technical knowledge
- Solid knowledge of divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation and children law
Hours per Week:Â Minimum 3 days per week
Hourly rate: £40.00 – 50.00 per hour (outside IR35)
