Payroll Specialist (Temporary Role Part Time)

We are seeking a competent Payroll Specialist to oversee the processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls for a client based in Central Wakefield. This is a temporary 4-month position, requiring your expertise on-site for 3 days per week.
Job DescriptionAs Payroll Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and process weekly and monthly payrolls for the organisation.
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, including statutory deductions and adjustments.
- Act as the primary contact for payroll-related queries from employees.
- Provide detailed payroll reports and assist with audits, when required.
- Comply with all relevant UK payroll legislation and regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, including weekly and monthly schedules.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively during on-site days.
