Wood Machinist

My client in the Golcar area of Huddersfield are looking for an experienced Wood Machinist.The role will support the smooth running of the manufacturing processes and the efficient running of the machinery, to deal with the demand of increasing workload.Duties will include:The responsibility for programming, setting and operating a variety of machines to include:CNC - Training will be providedPanel sawsSpindle MoulderEdge banderOther machinery - as and when required - (training will be provided if required).Working to a schedule and delivering projects within the required timescalePreparation of component parts ready for the joinery workshopEssentialMust have proven knowledge of the joinery manufacturing industryKnowledge of H&S procedures and responsibilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks/projects at one timeAbility to work with minimal guidanceStrive towards continuous improvementAbility to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing prioritiesStrong attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamflexible approach to meeting strict deadlinesLEAN ManufacturingDesirablePrevious experience in similar workshopExperience in Alphacam software and cutting list programs - Training OperatorThis is a full time role although flexibility is required depending on customer demand and deadlines.Hours:Monday - Thursday - 8.00am - 5.00pmFriday - 8.00am - 1.00pmIND123
