We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Primary teacher keen on teaching children age 5-11 years old at a Specialist Nurture school in the Wakefield area.

The full-time role will be to start ASAP, for one full term in the first instance that is likely to continue long term. The specialist Nurture school has a maximum of up to 16 pupils that are split into very small class sizes of around 6 pupils per class.

The learners that attend this specialist nurture school have profound social difficulties, emotional dysregulation and mental health difficulties. With ensuring the learners gain skills to reach their full potential with English and Math the curriculum has a strong emphasize on developing emotional regulation and skills to engage with learning in a nurturing environment.

Job spec & Description:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree Primary, secondary, childhood studies with SEND, or equivalent.
  • keen interest in teaching vulnerable children with SEND & Neurodiversity.
  • Ability to plan and prepare Teaching and learning appropriate that challenging.
  • Ability to teach across curricular on a primary model content. 
  • Implement individualised interventions.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings & CPD after school times.
  • DBS on the Subscription service.
