About the RoleThis rewarding position involves delivering English and Literacy lessons to full groups and providing specialist EAL support to small groups and individuals. You will play a vital role in helping students with varying levels of English proficiency to integrate into the school community and achieve their academic potential. The role is to start ASAP until February half term.

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong knowledge of EAL teaching strategies and methods.
Skills
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of assessment frameworks for EAL learners.
- Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
- Remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group support to students who are learning English as an additional language.
- Assess students' English language proficiency levels and develop personalised learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and cultural sensitivity within the school.
- Promote a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Foster a love of learning and encourage students to achieve their full potential.
- Encourage students to engage with the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities.
- Support students to develop their communication and interpersonal skills.
- Build strong relationships with students, their families, and other staff members.
- Promote a culture of respect and understanding for all students.
