Primary Teaching Assistants Needed in Wakefield!

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team in the Wakefield area. We are looking for individuals who can engage children and help them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Listening to children read, reading to them, or telling them stories
  • Assisting children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Helping teachers plan learning activities and maintain records
  • Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behavior
  • Supervising group activities
  • Caring for children who are upset or have had accidents
  • Tidying up materials and equipment after lessons
  • Assisting with school outings
  • Performing administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or higher childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Knowledge of the KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum
  • Experience working with KS1 and/or KS2 children
  • Experience managing behavior issues
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and flexibility
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding practices
