Production Group Leader  - Industrial Manufacturing

Salary: £49,000 – OTE: £55,000 - £60,000

Shift – 4 on 4 off

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Are you a driven leader with a passion for safety, quality, and production excellence? We’re looking for a dynamic Production Group Leader to join our team, offering a competitive salary of £49,000. This is a very large industrial manufacturing site looking for a seasoned Production Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader with extensive experience in man management.

What you need for this role: 

  • Minimum 5 years Production Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader experience 
  • Manufacturing background 
  • Has manaed a team of over 10 operatives

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First

  • Champion our safety standards, ensuring your team adheres to all safety procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with the 4 Work Rule and Critical 6 requirements.
  • Promptly report and address any near-misses or incidents.
  • Oversee safety training and ensure all team members are well-prepared.

Quality Control

  • Uphold quality standards, ensuring products meet customer specifications using tools like AWAQS.
  • Support investigations into complaints, utilizing Root Cause Analysis for thorough resolutions.
  • Accurately follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One Point Lessons.

Production Performance & Management

  • Troubleshoot process issues to minimize downtime and losses.
  • Lead improvement initiatives to consistently exceed production targets.
  • Manage daily shift reports and facilitate effective communication across shifts.
  • Coordinate with Logistics to ensure raw materials and packaging are always available.

Leadership

  • Lead and motivate your team, ensuring all procedures align with business objectives.
  • Organize and optimize team operations during production challenges.
  • Manage team scheduling, training, and absence coverage efficiently.
  • Collaborate with support teams to ensure seamless production flow.

BENEFITS

7.5% employer pension contribution for a 5% employee contribution.

Quarterly bonus company related, and they hit every time can vary between £200-600 (maximum payout 3.5k / year).
