We are currently recruiting for a growing manufacturer with a major capex programme signed off to expand their operation with a new factory. In order to support the influx of new production machinery, into a new recently acquired site that is not yet operational, they need to appoint a Project Manager on a contract to provide guidance and support when needed on an ad hoc basis. You will be required to travel to site sometimes and need to be happy to commute to Yorkshire, sometimes at short notice. You need previous experience of the legal requirements of setting up a new factory (environmental considerations, local authorty regulations, planning requirements, permits, compliance and certification, etc.) and be able to demonstrate 'lessons learned' from previous greenfield factory projects. Ideally you'll have an engineering background and be familiar with special purpose machinery, although this isn't essential.

As Project Manager you will have previous experience of setting up a new factory, ensuring adherence to all relevant rules and regulations. and be able to provide a knowledgeable sounding board to to the internal project management and installation teams and be a trusted point of contact for suppliers, sales and engineering teams.

* Identification and provision of reliable solutions for all project management issues in order to assure satisfaction
* Management of Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions
* Tracking and monitoring progress of project measurables i.e. time, cost, quality, labour
* Preparation and presentation of project financials including accurate budget forecast cost to complete final cost at completion
* Management and control of all legal, environmental, planning, compliance and certification needed for a new factory set up

* Strong Project Management experience
