Caddick Construction is a family owned business completing projects in a number of different sectors.

We are looking for an assistant planner to work within our residential/housing schemes. You will be based at our Wakefield office and will be expected to travel to sites (currently located in York, Hull, Wakefield & Leeds).

This is a junior role and training will be provided to develop your skills towards becoming a project planner.

Overview

Your role will include:

  • Developing, in conjunction with the project team, programmes and delivery strategies for both tenders and live projects
  • Develop, in conjunction with the project team, preconstruction and construction methodology to enable the most efficient and effective delivery of the projects.
  • Develop the project plan, programme and reporting in accordance with our internal procedures
  • Provide solutions for delivering the project with the project team
  • Report project progress at regular intervals against the contract and construction programmes
  • Support various teams in the creation and maintenance of short-term programmes and storyboards
  • Assist in chairing weekly planning meetings on site to coordinate the subcontractor works to achieve key milestones
  • Assess and record time impacts and delays
  • Record as-built production rates and delays for benchmarking for future projects
