Overview:
On behalf of a well-established construction company specialising in the development of care homes, we are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to make an impact within a growing sector.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of care home projects. You will be responsible for overseeing cost management, contractual agreements, and financial risk while ensuring compliance with the JCT form of contract. This position requires the candidate to be willing to travel to Sussex and/or London at least twice a month.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the financial performance of construction projects from inception to completion
Monitor budgets, ensure contract compliance, and maintain control over project costs
Handle subcontractor procurement, management, and site inspections
Provide accurate certification of contract payments and variations
Identify and mitigate financial risks to ensure the success of projects
Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
Provide regular reporting on cost control and project financial status

Skills & Experience Required:
Strong knowledge of the JCT form of contract
Experience working with main contracts (desirable)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience using cost management software

Qualifications & Certifications:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (desirable)
Professional membership (desirable)
