Company: My client is a leading Tier 1 housebuilder known for delivering high-quality residential developments, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Wakefield.

As a Tier 1 housebuilder, their reputation for quality and innovation has positioned them as a leader in the industry. I am looking for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage multiple developments and contribute to the continued success.

Role Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of residential developments. You will be responsible for handling 2-3 projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will be crucial in providing cost control, financial analysis, and contractual support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple residential developments, ranging from £20 million to £150 million+.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts for each project.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and value engineering.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, including variations, and resolve any disputes or issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular site visits and attend project meetings to provide financial updates and support.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within PLC housing or large-scale residential projects.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with experience in projects ranging from £20 million to £150 million+.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, financial analysis, and contractual procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS, degree in Quantity Surveying) are preferred but not essential.
