The successful Quantity Surveyor will be offered:

  • Basic salary of £60,000 - £70,000

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills: To accurately estimate costs and manage budgets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of construction methods and processes, in order to effectively manage costs and contracts.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compliance with building regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, to identify and resolve issues that arise during the project.
  • IT skills, to use relevant software and databases. 

Key duties for the Quantity Surveyor role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Monitor project spending and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Advise on cost-saving measures
  • Prepare and manage tender documents and contracts.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage variations and claims
  • Provide financial advice to clients
  • Identify and assess potential risks to the project.
  • Develop risk management strategies and mitigation plan
