About the Role:
A leading new build residential construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple new build residential projects across West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial aspects of multiple new build residential projects
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates
- Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
- Manage variations and claims
- Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Mentor and develop junior team members
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Significant experience in quantity surveying within the residential construction sector
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)
- A full UK driving license is essential
