Property Business Partner

We are seeking a Property Business Partner to facilitate the successful delivery of built environment priorities, including capital projects and major accommodation moves within the service directorates. This role is pivotal in leading and managing property and estate-related capital projects across a diverse portfolio which may include Regeneration, Arts, Culture & Leisure, or Schools. The successful candidate will strategically plan work programmes to ensure the effective delivery of projects aligned with the client directorate’s needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage the delivery of property and estate-related capital projects and programmes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the Council to ensure their property and project requirements are integrated within the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Act as the key interface between stakeholder clients and the property services team, aligning customer needs analysis with technical expertise.
  • Implement the council’s Estate Strategy and asset management plans effectively.
  • Support the Senior Property Business Partner in managing the 3rd party property professional services contract, ensuring the protection of the council’s commercial position through effective contract, financial, and project management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Detailed understanding of the work and activities of the Council.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale property-related projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop robust working relationships.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation of asset management plans.
  • NEC PM accreditation or similar project management qualification is desirable.
