Job Title: Head of Warehouse & Transport
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Warehouse & Transport to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of warehouse operations and transport functions, as well as driving key projects to enhance efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities of a Head of Warehouse & Transport:
- Manage the daily warehouse and transport operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows
- Lead and execute ongoing and new projects aimed at improving logistics, inventory management, and transport processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse performance and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across the department
- Develop and mentor the warehouse and transport teams to achieve operational excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain management
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans for improvement
Key Requirements of a Head of Warehouse and Transport:
- Proven experience in a senior warehouse and transport management role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transport logistics
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- A track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational targets
