We are seeking a dedicated Head of Science to lead our dynamic department at a well-regarded school in Wakefield. This role is ideal for an experienced Science educator with a passion for making a difference, particularly in a supportive and inclusive environment for students with special educational needs.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Support and mentor staff within the department to foster professional growth and enhance teaching skills.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning outcomes within the Science department.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
- Experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
