Role Overview:
As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with a team of educators to foster a love of literature and language while promoting critical thinking and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned and innovative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure high levels of student engagement and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices.
- Contribute to the school's wider activities and ethos, including extracurricular programmes.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in teaching English.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for literature and language.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated experience of raising student achievement and motivation.
