We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Teacher of French to join our secondary school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting on 24th February. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school has a strong commitment to language learning and values the impact of modern foreign languages on student development.

• Location: Wakefield
• Contract: Full time role
• Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Excellent communication
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Fluent in French with excellent pronunciation and grammatical knowledge.
• Ability to inspire and engage learners.
• Strong classroom management and discipline techniques.
• Familiarity with GCSE French curriculum and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons that meet the national curriculum.
• Foster a love for language learning through interactive and innovative teaching strategies.
• Differentiate lessons to cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and concerns.
• Support students in preparing for examinations, including GCSE and A-Level (if applicable).
• Encourage a growth mindset and resilience in language learning.
• Implement school policies on safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
• Support the school's vision and values in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct.
