About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and skilled Teacher of French to join our secondary school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting on 24th February. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school has a strong commitment to language learning and values the impact of modern foreign languages on student development.

Position Details
- Location: Wakefield
- Contract: Full time role
- Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Fluent in French with excellent pronunciation and grammatical knowledge.
- Ability to inspire and engage learners.
- Strong classroom management and discipline techniques.
- Familiarity with GCSE French curriculum and assessments.
- Flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons that meet the national curriculum.
- Foster a love for language learning through interactive and innovative teaching strategies.
- Differentiate lessons to cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and concerns.
- Support students in preparing for examinations, including GCSE and A-Level (if applicable).
- Encourage a growth mindset and resilience in language learning.
- Implement school policies on safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
- Support the school's vision and values in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct.
