Domestic Abuse Help Line & Intake PractitionerWest Yorkshire AreaRate - £17.12 per hour 12-month contract, 37 hours, (occasionally working out of normal office hours)Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Help Line & Intake Practitioner for our client in the West Yorkshire area.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of domestic abuse issues and working with vulnerable individuals in crisis, Predominately this will be an office-based role with a need for flexibility travel to other sites.Role Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process agency referrals and self-referrals into the service.
  • Provide support and safety planning to domestic abuse victims
  • Provide service information, signposting or providing onward referrals to appropriate services as required/appropriate, including emergency accommodation and sanctuary provision
  • Ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to appropriately and are brought to the attention of Senior SDAP/Manager

Essential Requirements:

  • You will need an IDVA qualification or a relevant degree
  • Experience working in the field of domestic abuse
  • Have knowledge of services available to support perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  • This post will require a Police vetting process to be undertaken.
