Classroom Assistant and Support - Special Needs Roles and Settings

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Assistants to join SEN schools and settings across Wakefield, with immediate starts available. These full-time, long-term roles offer the potential for a temporary-to-permanent position, providing stability and opportunities for career progression.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Previous experience supporting in a Special Needs schools and setting, including experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language), Behaviour, and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Key Skills: Strong behaviour management and the ability to support students across both primary and secondey age groups.
  • Role Responsibilities:
    • Providing in-class support to students, working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning.
    • Supporting children with varying needs, including EAL, behaviour, and SEND.
    • Assisting with general classroom duties, including helping to manage resources and supporting the children's emotional and academic development.
