Special Educational Needs Support Assistant - Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced EYFS Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a primary school in Wakefield. This full-time TA role is centred around providing tailored support to a Year 1 child diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

In this role as a TA, you will be supporting a child navigate their educational journey and will work closely with the classroom teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring that the child can fully engage in their learning environment.

Your daily TA responsibilities will include:

  • One-on-one support, adapting teaching methods to meet the child's unique needs.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages academic and social growth.

The ideal TA will have substantial experience working in a school-based environment, with a strong background in supporting children with ADHD or similar needs. You should have a deep understanding of how to create a structured, supportive environment that enables children to thrive.

Your commitment to making a positive impact, combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills, will be key to success in this role as a TA.
