Salary:

Job Duties:

1. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a special school setting.

2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCo.

3. Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

4. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEND.

5. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet the individual needs of students.

6. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.

7. Assist with personal care and mobility needs of students when required.

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant experience working with individuals with SEND

- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support SEND students

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working in a special school or similar setting

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of SEND practises and interventions

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with SEND students

Preferred Qualifications:

- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

- First Aid training

Working Conditions:

- Work in a special school environment

- Full-time hours with some flexibility required

- Potential for personal care duties and physical activities
