Nurture Teacher required:

We are seeking to appoint a nurturing, empathetic and enthusiastic Nurture Teacher to join our fast-growing, high-performing client school for children with special educational needs. Since no two days are ever the same, you will need to be someone who is pragmatic and able to think on your feet to change the plan when you need to! If you are someone who loves a direct approach, being in the room with the children and being surrounded by a close-knit, bubbly group of staff that will assist you to thrive, then we would love to hear from you!

The Role:

  • Work with small classes of up to 6 pupils to improve learning outcomes and support personal growth.
  • Operate in line with pupil Education and Health Care Plans to deliver a personalised, tailored level of support, putting every child at the centre of the learning.
  • Collaborate with learning support assistants and other education professionals to deliver high-quality lessons that may vary in curriculum content but have an emphasis on preparing pupils for adult needs.
  • Champion a classroom climate that is nurturing, kind and always filled with second chances to get it right.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Specialisation or additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs with a warm smile on your face!
