An exciting opportunity has become available for a Car Mechanic within a Repair Shop located in Wakefield.

Our client has a need for a Car Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative. The ideal mechanic will be fully qualified and experienced within the role.

Duties:

  • Servicing and repairs to a variety of cars and small vans.
  • Fitting of exhaust, tyres, clutches timing belts etc.
  • Most be fully skilled, time served.
  • MOT Testing Performing Diagnostic Testing to identify vehicle Faults
  • Ensuring that paperwork is completed to the highest of standards
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade

Car Mechanic Requirements:

  • A Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • A Current and Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Dedicated and committed approach.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
