Reed FE are representing a brilliant opportunity for an Electrical Installation Tutor/Assessor to join a Training Provider in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Our client are also considering taking on Industry Experienced & Qualified Electricians who are interested in gaining a funded Teaching Qualification for the role.

This role involves delivering high-quality training across several electrical courses, including testing and inspection and BS7671. The successful candidate will train cohorts and assess individuals against set criteria, ensuring learners build confidence and competence both in the classroom and during practical sessions.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver training across various electrical courses, including testing and inspection and BS7671:2018.
  • Assess individuals against set criteria to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Provide effective feedback to learners on their performance in both classroom and workshop settings.
  • Occasionally travel to other locations for training delivery, depending on client requirements.
  • Support learners throughout their educational journey, helping them to gain confidence and skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification (2365/2357 or equivalent).
  • Level 3 Testing and Inspection certification.
  • Familiarity with BS7671: 2018.
  • Renewable qualifications (e.g., Solar PV/EESS) are desirable.
  • Must hold an adult teaching qualification (Cert Ed, TAQA, or PTLLS) or be D32, D33, A1, and A2 qualified, or working towards these. Candidates without these qualifications must agree to undertake and complete the necessary training within 6 months of starting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
