Position Overview:
The successful candidate will undertake pipefitting and welding duties essential for the installation of steam boilers, ancillary plant, and other mechanical services. This role is ideal for professionals looking to advance their careers within an innovative and forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project manager to plan pipe system layouts
- Utilise appropriate equipment for installation
- Modify pipe systems according to specifications
- Conduct inspection testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Provide technical support to customers and colleagues
- Deliver regular reports to customers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in paid overtime and weekend work
- Travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays

- Competitive Salary: £33k-£40k, depending on experience
- Overtime Earnings: OTE estimated at £50k with overtime opportunities paid at 1½ & double time

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Valid full driving licence
- Field-based experience in pipefitting and welding
- Knowledge of health & safety requirements in previous roles
Desirable:
- City & Guilds in plumbing, pipework erection, and fabrication
- Welding certification to current British standards
- Safety passport
- Ability to read drawings and plan pipework routes
- Proven mechanical engineering background
- Experience in a customer-facing role
