My client are looking for time served Welder / Fitter in the Knottingley area.

Overview
The main purpose of the role is to efficiently conduct plating / Mig Welding to draughtsman drawings, maintaining a safety and quality 1st approach including fabrication of structural steel and plate work

Duties of the Role:

Work Safely and provide work that meets our Quality standards (in line with ISO-9001).
Use of MIG welding plant to produce fillet, and butt welds.
Maintain condition of tools and equipment.
Report damage or malfunction of equipment promptly.
Experience in using air-arc to gouge / prepare weld areas.
Visually inspect work
Maintain a tidy workplace in line with company 5S procedures.
Flexible enough to work additional hours, dictated by business workload as we endeavour to meet customer demand.
Motivated to develop self in other critical process.
Read from draughtsman drawings in 1st and 3rd angle projection
Mark out / prepare plates and sections for manufacture
Measure, and cut beams to size using oxy-propane torch, to meet drawing specification
Construct final assembly to critical dimensions and tolerances
