My client in the LS9 area of Leeds require an experienced Wood Machinist.Job OverviewYou will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining woodworking machinery to cut, shape, and form wood components.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate woodworking machines such as edgebanders, saws, sanders, and CNC machinesRead and interpret technical drawings to determine the required dimensions and shapes of wood componentsSelect and prepare wood materials for machining, ensuring they meet quality standardsLoad and unload materials and products from machinesInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsTroubleshoot when production issues occur and fix any minor issues where possibleUndertake equipment inspection, maintenance and cleaning in accordance with instructionsWork to company policies and procedures at all timesComply with quality standards alwaysAlways carry out tasks in line with health and safety requirementsCarry out general housekeeping to ensure your workstation is clean, tidy and free from hazardsProactively contribute to continuous improvement initiativesPerson SpecificationYou will be a highly motivated, driven individual who puts our customer at the centre of everything you do.
