Mechanical Fitter/Welder
Based in Newark (Nottinghamshire) – 6 Month Contract
Day Shifts (Monday to Friday)
Outside IR35/Umbrella £30ph
This Manufacturing business is now looking for a Mechanical Fitter/Welder to support the internal team and to ensure downtime is to a minimum whilst maintaining standards of a variety of equipment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter/Welder will involve the following.
- Welding and fabrication this will include MIG, MMA, Stick Metal Arc, and Metal Arc welding on lightweight plating from 1mm up to 15mm.
- Welding components will consist of handrails, walkways, frames etc.
- Mechanical fitting, maintenance, stripping and installation of machinery such as, conveyors, mixers, curers, etc.
- Gas burning and Abrasive work is involved.
The Mechanical fitter/Welder must possess the following,
- Previous Mechanical and Welding experience within an industrial site is a must.
- Certified Welding Qualification is a must.
- Mechanical Qualification is a must.
- Gas burning (Oxy Fuel) Certification is desirable.
- Abrasive wheels Certification is a must.
The benefits of this Maintenance Engineer contract is the following.
- 6-month contract with extension
- Day Shifts Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week available
- Outside IR35 and umbrella
