The School and Role

This small, one-form entry Primary school in Wallasey, are looking to appoint a nurturing and intuitive Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.  The role will start immediately, and will be ongoing.  This primary school is a ‘learning community’, and how they work and grow together is more important to them, than what they do.  They believe that it is the ‘how’ they do things that characterises the most successful schools.  Children learn with the support that they need to thrive and without discrimination at all times, and as a professional community, the school meet the needs of all their children as well as they can.  They ensure that they do not allow any child to be discriminated against or experience discrimination without a direct intervention.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience working with children with a SEND background/on a 1-1 basis

-          An ability to work as part of a team

-          Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
