Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

Location: Birkenhead

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (DOE)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic team based in Birkenhead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in property law to further develop their career in the legal sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the conveyancing team throughout the transaction process.
  • Assist with managing client files, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Prepare and review property documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and other conveyancing forms.
  • Communicate with clients, estate agents, and third parties to gather necessary information and progress transactions.
  • Conduct property searches and liaise with relevant parties to obtain results.
  • Assist in the completion of financial documentation and the exchange of contracts.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely responses.
  • Manage appointments and diary scheduling for the conveyancers.
  • Deal with client queries and ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant or similar administrative role is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing process is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • IT literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office and case management systems.
