One of our partnership primary schools is looking for a Key Stage 1 specialist primary teacher to take on a Year 1 class teaching job starting asap until the end of the academic year in the first instance. This job is full time, working Monday - Friday during term time.Your new roleThe Wirral primary school we are supporting to fill this Year 1 class teacher role is a one-form entry primary school which was graded 'good' in their last Ofsted inspection. The role has come about due to internal changes within the team structure. This Year 1 class teaching job involves:

  • leading all teaching, learning and assessment for your class with the help of 1 full-time teaching assistant and another TA who comes to support you on a rota with other classes across the school
  • closely following school policies, including the behaviour policy, to ensure effective teaching and learning takes place
  • working as part of the wider school team to promote the schools' core values and community feel

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this Year 1 class teaching job you will need:

  • QTS
  • Excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Recent and relevant experience working within primary schools that can be referenced
  • The confidence to plan and deliver your own lessons that meet the Year 1 curriculum standards
