About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Specialised Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a primary school student with challenging behaviour. This role is crucial in helping the student achieve their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.   • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with challenging behaviour, implementing tailored strategies to manage and improve behaviour.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
  • Assist in creating a safe and positive learning environment for the student.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the student in developing social skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent and effective support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, special needs, or behaviour management.
