Experienced Social Worker - Permanence Team �?Job Summary

Wirral Council are seeking dedicated and experienced Social Workers to join our Permanence Team. As part of a dynamic team, you will work independently and collaboratively to meet the social care needs of children and families, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities ??
  • Ensure Safety and Outcomes: Provide services to ensure children are safe and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Assessment and Support: Offer professional information, assessments, and support to children, young people, and their families.
  • Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external partners for comprehensive assessment and care planning.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, analyse information critically, and follow organisational safeguarding policies.
  • Statutory Duties: Perform statutory duties related to safeguarding concerns.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work with multi-agency teams to deliver seamless services to children and families with multiple needs.
  • Court Involvement: Prepare reports, attend, and give evidence in court proceedings as needed.
  • Expertise Development: Develop expertise in specific areas of children's social care practice.
  • Investigation: Investigate allegations of neglect or ill-treatment.
  • Supervision: Oversee cases and provide clear direction and support to team members.
Requirements ?
  • Qualifications: Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent; registered with Social Care England.
  • Professional Development: Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Understanding of UK legislation relevant to Children and Families.
  • Multi-Agency Experience: Experience working and leading in a multi-agency environment.
