Your new companyHays are one of the largest education agencies in the Wirral area. We work exclusively with over 65% schools in the area, they use Hays supply service for Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants very heavily.Your new roleA school in the Wirral area requires a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. Duties will include:

  • Supporting a pupil in Year 3 with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis
  • The majority of your time will be spent working on a one to one basis
  • Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress

What you'll need to succeed

  • Have at least six months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum
  • Managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role
