Horizon Teachers are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Tower Hamlets ASAP. This is a long-term role (9 months, maternity cover).
You will be supporting students with a range of SEN needs, including some with Down Syndrome. Experience in this area is beneficial but not essential. The role also involves working with a challenging bottom-set Maths group, so strong behaviour management skills are required.
The Role:

Supporting students with SEN needs, including some with Down Syndrome (experience beneficial but not essential).
Working with a bottom-set Maths group, requiring strong behaviour management skills.
Providing tailored support to ensure students remain engaged and progress in their learning.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN or behaviour support role.
Strong behaviour management skills to support students in a challenging setting.
Ability to build positive relationships and adapt to individual learning needs.
