We are delighted to be working with an exciting business based in Wallingford that are looking for an Accountant to join the team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with analytical experience to continue developing in a supportive and progressive environment - offering up to £48,000 + hybrid working.

In this role you will be accountable for the financial control of internal and external projects and deliver accurate and timely analysis on the financial project performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiate preparation/maintenance of project budgets with Project Managers, challenge assumptions and monitor actuals vs budgets
  • Responsible for timely delivery of project results for monthly and quarterly reports, including project forecasts for the financial reporting and communication of early warnings of financial risks and results
  • Collect, monitor and analyse relevant financial and project data to identify improvement and trends
  • Develop, implement and enhance relevant procedures and processes in close cooperations with the relevant teams to increase efficiency
  • Control and monitor processes and documents
  • Involved in project audits on a regular basis, you can communicate results and suggest improvements
  • Support the Business Controller at month and year end, in the management of Revenue Recognition, the delivery of reports, providing support to the Business in transactional enquiries
