Our client, a family-run business whom have grown to over 300 FTE and been established for over 30 years, are looking to recruit an experienced, personable Business Development Manager to join their successful operation. Working in a fantastic office with an amazing team of people (and reporting directly to an incredibly personable Head of Sales - a recent Hays placement!), this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate! Our client are a Fresh Food Contract Caterer, and service a wide range of both corporate and Public Sector clients across Oxfordshire/Midlands/South. Combining fresh, bespoke food with an incredible service, our client have grown extensively since their inception in the late 80's, and are continuing to evolve. Due to their need for growth, they are actively seeking the perfect candidate to join their client-facing Sales operation within a Business Development Management capacity, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include: - Identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities - securing in-person meetings- Proactively researching untapped markets, new clients and potential partnerships- Creating and managing sales pipelines- Working towards targets and converting opportunities into contracts- Attending conferences, exhibitions and networking events to build relationships with potential clients/engage with existing stakeholders- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their unique needs and presenting tailored solutions- Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, providing exceptional service and fostering long-term loyalty- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to leverage social media/website/marketing campaigns to generate social media leadsIn order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:- Proven track record in Business Development/Sales, preferably within a Service capacity (selling a service, not a product)- 'Hunter' mindset - genuine desire to search and win new opportunities- Confidence to make effective sales calls to generate leads/set up client meetings- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling proposals tailored to client needs- Genuine desire to exceed targets/goals, with a determined approach to success- Fun, sociable personality!In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering the following:- Uncapped commission structure (realistic Year One OTE: £75,000!)- Amazing progression opportunities- Great working hours: Monday - Friday / 9.00am - 5.30pm- Free parking onsiteOur client are looking to move very quickly on this, so any interested candidate(s) are urged to apply at their earliest convenience!
