CNC Miller - Setter

My client provides high precision CNC Milling/Turning and ancillary services to a variety of high-tech industries including Formula 1, Nuclear Safety and Science & Technology. They are currently on the lookout for a CNC Miller to join their ever-growing team based in Oxford.

Key Responsibilities – CNC Miller

  • CNC Machining, and setting
  • Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines
  • Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required
  • Using initiative to improve quality/throughput
  • Working to scheduled lists
  • Operate within a 5’s manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards

Qualifications & Experience – CNC Miller

  • Demonstrable experience of CNC programming is desirable – EDGECAM/FANUC or similar but not essential
  • Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
  • Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining
  • Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable
  • Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions
  • Working to high quality standards
  • Engineering apprenticeship desirable
  • National Engineering Technical certificate
  • NVQ’s or City and Guilds
