About the Job

As an experienced Credit Controller working within a small finance team, you will be responsible for managing a ledger of approximately 1,500 active accounts, encompassing a diverse portfolio that includes individual clients as well as multi-site national accounts, ensuring accurate credit control and efficient cash flow management. Your role will involve close collaboration with other team members to maintain streamlined financial processes and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.

Duties will include:

  • Contacting overdue accounts by phone, email, and letter.
  • Opening new accounts and conducting credit checks on individuals and businesses.
  • Preparing and distributing monthly query lists to depots.
  • Processing credit card payments and providing holiday cover.
  • Sending copy invoices and liaising with depots to address customer queries.
  • Assisting with month-end activities.

About the Successful Applicant

You will have over two years of credit control experience, a confident telephone manner, and a proactive, can-do attitude. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and proficiency in Excel is essential.
