Divisional Finance Manager Full Time (Hybrid – 1-2 days per week)Paying Up to £75kPermanentOur client is looking to recruit a Divisional Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the finance team in a high growth organisation and will be responsible for leading the personnel and processes across the finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance your primary responsibility will be ownership of the Management Accounting, Financial Reporting and controls within a high-performance culture.Key responsibilities of the Divisional Finance Manager:
  • Produce timely and reliable monthly management accounts to tight deadlines
  • Oversee the Management Accountant team
  • Identify and investigate variances against benchmarks, provide analysis of differences, and explore potential problems with non-financial department heads
  • Take the lead on various projects, including process and system improvements
  • Update Excel-based reconciliation / support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts
  • Support and challenge the business heads with the Group’s Quarterly Strategic Review process
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules, tax computations and cash flow forecasts
  • Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, advise on the business impact and make appropriate recommendations
  • Involvement in on-going process development and transformation projects to improve business efficiency and profitability
  • Developing a continuous improvement framework to ensure efficiencies are rolled out and adopted by all team members and the wider organization where appropriate.
  • Act as a Business Partner within all aspects of the role
Key requirements for the Divisional Finance Manager:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • People management experience and proven experience in building effective teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Strong Excel skills are necessary as well as experience of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, change culture
  • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) are preferable
  • Innovation and ability to consistently improve process and systems
