We're seeking a Hazardous Waste Assessor to join our client's busy Hazardous Waste Division. This office based role is perfect for scientific graduates eager to apply their knowledge or experienced scientific professionals looking to advance their careers beyond the lab and delve deeper into chemical compliance.

Your Role:

  • Conduct technical assessments and classify waste accurately.
  • Communicate with clients for quotations, documentation, and labels.
  • Handle sales enquiries and pre-acceptance requirements.
  • Find cost-effective treatment routes for hazardous waste.
  • Offer technical advice to customers and internal teams.
  • Keep customers informed with up-to-date information.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • BSc in Chemistry or Environmental Science (preferred) or HNC considered.
  • Previous lab experience handling chemicals/reagents is essential.
  • Experience work as a Technical Assessor or previously as a Site Chemist is a plus but not required.
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Friendly, approachable, and flexible for ad-hoc needs.

Sponsorship isn’t available for this role, successful applicants will need full eligibility to work in the UK indefinitely for this position.
