This is a full time, temporary to permanent position working with a friendly team. Responsibilities as a Yard Operative:

Maintaining stock within the yard and warehouse
Loading and unloading materials
Picking orders for customers and writing order notes for the sales counter
Complying with company health and safety standards
Assisting with other duties in the yard

To be considered for the Yard Operative position you will have:

Previous experience as a Yard Operative or similar role
Knowledge of building materials, preferred but not essential
Counterbalance forklift, preferably a valid license, but not essential
Comfortable with manual handling
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional information

Monday to Friday 07:00am – 17:00pm
Alternating Saturdays 07:00am to 12:00pm
Full training will be provided
23 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 2 years
Free parking
Salary is between £28,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience
Annual bonus paid on branch-based performance
