Are you based in Wallingford? Do you have a degree or experienced in SEN/SEMH working with children?

You will be working with Oxfordshire, Wallingford based children who require further support with their social, emotional and mental health. As such it is likely that you will come across some behaviour that you might find challenging, so it is required that you are calm and patient in your approach as well as being resilient and professional.

The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant - Wallingford should:

  • Demonstrate minimum 1 years' experience working with KS1/KS2 children with SEMH/SEN Primary aged students on 1:1 basis or in classes
  • Be passionate about working with SEMH/SEN - not limited to managing ASD, autism, behavioural issues, Mental health issues, trauma and other SEHM.
  • You should have a flexible, proactive and patient personality, as the SEN students require greater attention and different techniques.
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team of KS1/KS2 staff.
  • Have a minimum 2:1 degree in Mental Health, Social Care, Psychology or Criminology.
