Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician looking for a unique opportunity to work on bespoke systems? We are recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a growing team, assembling high-precision machines and instruments.
Role Overview:You will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of bespoke systems, cable looms, and electrical control panels from detailed drawings and kit lists. This role involves working in a small team, ensuring precision and accuracy in every build. The position also offers the opportunity for on-site maintenance and support across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:- Precision assembly of prototype machines and instruments.
- Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
- High-standard soldering, including high-voltage networks.
- Functional testing of equipment using industry-standard tools.
- On-site maintenance and support (UK and international) - desirable.
- Strong experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
- Background in nuclear assay instrumentation or precision laboratory equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and 5S methodologies (preferred).
- Must meet safety and security standards for working in nuclear environments.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant electrical/mechanical engineering qualification.
- Experience working with high-precision equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and using lifting equipment (preferred).
