Assembly Technician - Electro-Mechanical

Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician looking for a unique opportunity to work on bespoke systems? We are recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a growing team, assembling high-precision machines and instruments.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of bespoke systems, cable looms, and electrical control panels from detailed drawings and kit lists. This role involves working in a small team, ensuring precision and accuracy in every build. The position also offers the opportunity for on-site maintenance and support across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision assembly of prototype machines and instruments.
  • Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • High-standard soldering, including high-voltage networks.
  • Functional testing of equipment using industry-standard tools.
  • On-site maintenance and support (UK and international) - desirable.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
  • Background in nuclear assay instrumentation or precision laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and 5S methodologies (preferred).
  • Must meet safety and security standards for working in nuclear environments.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant electrical/mechanical engineering qualification.
  • Experience working with high-precision equipment.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using lifting equipment (preferred).
