Pay Rate: 14-15 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Level 3 Early Years Leader to join our Activities Camp team in Wallingford, Oxfordshire for a two-day camp running from October 31st to November 1st, 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering engaging, safe, and fun activities for children in the Early Years age group.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Early Years team in creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, including creative arts, outdoor play, and group games.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, maintaining a high level of care and attention.
  • Support and guide junior staff and volunteers, ensuring activities run smoothly and according to schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on their child's participation and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all children feel supported and encouraged.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification, PGCE, or QTS is essential.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead by example.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
