Our client, are leaders who service a niche sector. They are now recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing team!
Supplier Quality Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate rework / repair of supplier related non-conformances with suppliers
- Conduct goods inwards quality control for components
- Monitoring and maintain the company Quality Assurance database (NCR) for supplier related issues
- Liaise with the production quality engineer to understand the production impact of non-conforming supplied parts
- Carry out supplier development activities via supplier visits and audits
- Monitor and maintain the goods Inwards QA inspection process to ensure parts meet required drawings and quality standards
- Support the Purchasing Team to collect and review supplier metrics, feedback quality data and provide quarterly reports for supplier performance
The ideal Supplier Quality Engineer will:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a QA role within manufacturing
- Be computer literate in MS Office, Adobe software and SAP
- Experienced with QMS systems and procedures
- Understanding and experience of robust QA procedures
- Able to read from engineering drawings
- Problem solving skills such as 6S or 8D
- A formal qualification is beneficial but not essential
